In honor of Valentine’s Day, I decided to write my blog post strolling down my memory lane of romantic movies and TV shows.  I will admit that I really didn’t watch many romantic movies until my teenage years.  I believe the reason was my parents did not allow us to watch much television growing up; my sister and I played outside a lot during the warm months.  I believe the first romantic movie I watched was Grease and I went to the movie theater to watch it.  As I teenager, I spent plenty of weekends at the movies with my high school friends watching all different types of genres.  I still enjoy going to the movies and watching romantic ones with girlfriends.  My top ten favorite romantic movies are: 27 Dresses, Happy Ever After, Beauty and the Beast, Kate & Leopold, Sixteen Candles, Leap Year, Princess Bride, 4 Weddings and a Funeral, Dirty Dancing, and Letters to Juliet.  Are any of these movies on your top ten lists? Does it make you want to watch one of your favorite romantic movies with your significant other?

I will admit during my teenage and college years, I was addicted to soap operas.  My favorite one was General Hospital and do you remember the episode when Luke married Laura?  I stopped watching soap operas when my husband and I lived in Germany.  I spent many evenings while babysitting watchingthe Love Boat, Dallas and Knots Landing.  I will admit in the past 5 years the only romantic television shows I have seen have been through Netflix. Yes, I binge watch series on Netflix!  I hope you enjoyed this trip down memory lane of romantic movies and television shows.
